Once again I begin the day at 5am. Knowing today will have little time for rest breaks I opt for a huge breakfast at Denny's before getting underway. I traverse the Tehatchapi mountains to Bakerfield, across to Hwy 5 and north to Kettleman city and the CM95/96 DM05/06 grid corner.
